Mayor Quan to Join Tech, Social Justice Leaders at Groundbreaking for new Kapor Center for Social Impact Headquarters

 

Oakland Mayor Jean Quan will join Mitch Kapor, Freada Kapor Klein, Benjamin Todd Jealous and others next Tuesday at the groundbreaking of the new Kapor Center for Social Impact headquarters, to be located at 2148 Broadway.

 

The building, scheduled to open in mid-2015, will house the Kapor Center, as well as several non-profit organizations and businesses. It is expected to be a nexus for the East Bay tech community, and a centerpiece of Oakland’s tech scene.
